Laminate flooring is inexpensive and an excellent choice for people interested in improving their aesthetics of home and office. If you want laminate flooring in Coventry, contact Homeefe today. But before you do, let’s have a basic understanding of choosing laminate flooring.

What Is Laminate Flooring?

Laminate flooring consists of MDF(Medium Density Fiber) or HDF (High-Density Fiber) with a thickness of around 8–12mm. It is a middle layer supported by the bottom layer, which is melamine film coating. It also provides dimensional stability to the middle layer.

On top of the MDF or HDF layers, there is a printed decorative paper layer pasted, on which you will notice a print and texture.

One more coating protects the print, known as Aluminium oxide coated tissues. It prevents the surface from getting stains and scratches.

The Grades:

The laminate floor comes in three grades: (AC stands for Abrasion Class)

  • AC-3
  • AC-4
  • AC-5

It is not hard to decide which one you need, and we made it so simple that even a novice can understand which class of laminate flooring they should select.

AC-3 grade is suitable for small areas inside your house with low activity. E.g. a room in which only a single or two-person leaves or a site where you hardly even pay a visit. It is best suited for your kid’s study room.

AC-4 grade type laminate is excellent for moderate traffic areas such as the living room and bedroom. Not the kitchen, the explanation to it is ahead in the post, so keep reading.

AC-5 is the highest grade available and is best for heavy traffic areas. It is excellent for shops and offices.

Colour And Texture

Laminate flooring comes in multiple colour options and textures. It comes in a plank form and has 7-inch in width and 4-foot long.

Find the suitable colour that you think will match your house at best.

Moisture: The Most Important

Moisture is an enemy of laminate flooring. The person who will install the laminate flooring will take countermeasures to avoid any damage to the plank in the first place.

However, you have to know how to care for your laminate floor once installed completely.

Use a vacuum cleaner to clean it, and never use a wet cloth to clean laminate flooring.

Use a moisture detector machine in cold weather. Sometimes, an existing structure can have leakage or poor-quality flooring that can release moisture and damage the MDF or HDF layer of laminate flooring.

Summary

Laminate flooring is fantastic for improving the house interior. If you want the laminate flooring in the Coventry area, then Homeefe is the best option you can ever ask for.
